Brigitte Bardot Inspired Wedding Look
Wedding on Temple Pier, Victoria Embankment
My friend got married this weekend on a stunning boat on Temple Pier, Victoria Embankment. It was a GORGEOUS wedding and it was my first time ever attending a wedding on a boat. This also meant that this was an opportunity to dress up. I gained inspiration from Brigitte Bardot. She is a huge fashion icon and I was trying to replicate this with the big hair and romantic makeup.
Brigitte Bardot is the original queen of big hair, a perfectly flicked cat-eye, and sex kitten appeal. I actually have photos of her on my bedroom wall and I always get inspired by her fashion sense. To me she is so sophisticated and timeless.
The makeup I went for is very much inspired by night-time glamour. I wanted to go for deep smokey eyes to create a romantic feeling. This meant the lips would have to be nude as emphasis are on the eyes. I almost wanted to go for the “cat eye” which is very appealing.
The Maxi dress that I wore has embellishment so I wanted to wear statement earrings. These stunning silver earrings are my Mum’s however high-street shops like & Other Stories sell similar ones. I also wore a bracelet which complemented my earrings.
My hair was half up and down because I wanted to showcase the length. I have been growing my hair for a year now with weekly hair-masks, taking vitamins for healthy hair and I love that my hair is in amazing condition. I also use Hairburst Shampoo and after discovering this brand I don’t wash my hair in anything else. I also have an incredible hairbrush and sleep with it in a lose pony tail. Due to the fact that my hair is so long now also means I can play around with unique ideas. I was replicating Brigitte Bardot big volume hair. I love BIG hair.
Maxi Dress Love
This stunning find is from ASOS. I love to wear a Maxi dress when I am attending weddings as they are so sophisticated and suit my body shape. I love the fact that this is simple but also looks extremely elegant. This dress is a mixture of being simple but also has the “bling”.
I think the photos below show you how much fun I REALLY did have. xxx
