Arshia Moorjani Inspired Look
As you know I am British and born in London however I come from an Indian heritage. I love to look at new ways I can purchase Indian clothes and wear them in a modern way. So, I was scrolling Instagram and my favourite beauty influencer Arshia Moorjani posted a gorgeous outfit and I was like, right I need this in my wardroble. This was actually from ASOS. The top is super stunning with the simplicity of the arms and the stunning embellishment.
I can wear this top with a longer skirt or even a pair of jeans. When it comes to Indian clothing I always believe less is more. Well, that is my motto anyway. The top is definitely a statement piece so the skirt and shoes need to be simple. Note, I am also not wearing any jewellery as the focus is totally on the top.
I love the intricate details of this gorgeous top. The detailing is super pretty and the backless part gives the outfit even more of an interesting feel. The sleeves are adorable with the patterns on at the bottom and this makes the whole outfit beautiful to look at.
I love the pearls on the neckline of this top and I also adore the patterns. The shape works extremely well as does the colour combination of gold, white and navy.
This outfit can be worn within a modern way with a pair of jeans however if you want to dress this up a skirt is a must. When I saw this skirt on ASOS I knew this would work really well with this look.
I adore the simplicity of this skirt as it works extremely well with the top I am wearing. The gold shoes are a must with this outfit as it complements my top.
As you can see this outfit makes me feel super happy. There is definitely a correlation with how clothes make me feel. When I am dressed up and groomed I am instantly in a happier mood.
I have worn this outfit with gold heels because of the colours in this whole outfit. The simplicity ensures that focus is on the top and these heels are not too high which is a double positive. I have used a red nail varnish for the nails as it is simple and classy. It also complements the makeup.
Bringing it all together
I love how this whole look has come together. This is the perfect outfit if you want to find an Indian outfit but not shop in an Indian shop. Arshia Moorjani actually made a YouTube video about DIY Indian outfits which you can find here. This actually really helped me to style a few outfits of mine together.
